SEAoT San Antonio // May 2023 Chapter Meeting

Dear Members:

The next meeting of the SEAoT San Antonio Chapter will be held on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023.  We will be hosting our meeting at Anne Marie's Catering & Events.

Topic: Concrete Cracks (identifying and understanding the 20+ types of cracks)

• How to identify different types of cracks in concrete
• Understanding what causes them and how they can be prevented
• If they do happen how to repair them

Presenter: Vance Pool - Euclid Chemical Team

Vance has been involved with the construction industry in some form or another since summer high school work finishing concrete and framing houses. He graduated with a degree in architecture from Georgia Tech and has held numerous technical positions in locations across the US. Vance has been employed by leading cement, ready mix, admixture, fiber and building materials companies as well as the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association. He has spoken on numerous topics related to concrete, building materials and the construction industry in five countries and many states in his four decades of industry experience. Vance is part of the Euclid Chemical Team where his experience with concrete, field practices, civil and structural engineering are a resource to engineers, architects and owners in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.

Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
